Updates
I will be posting updates to products here when there are important things that I find after time and the reviews have posted that I feel are important to add to the product. I will also add this to the end of the revie so you can read it in fullif you wish.
It has been over a year since I posted this review and have been using the Capture in my home since then with great results. I have a two story duplex so stairs are a constant battle for me, I do all the house work by the way.
I also have two furballs, dogs, roaming the house shedding all over the place so the Capture gets used, alot. I have been using the capture as my main vacuum with a little trading off to test out others but it still is my main floor, carpet and dusting vacuum.
I have found you do need to clean the filters a bit more often but I can usually go about two weeks at a time, this is so much better than having to buy bags. I empty the cup about every time I use the vacuum when getting all those hair balls rolling aorund the corners of the rooms but not when I just pull it out for a quick vacuuming.
The hose is not quite long enough to strech up my full set of stairs but I can make it if I really want, it is much easier to just lug it up or add a piece onto the hose that you can purchase online. The Capture has proven it can stand up to the constant use of a household vacuum very well.
Some six months ago I reviewed a sample of Rejuvenate by coating it on a section of my hallway at the top of my stairs. This spot is a high traffic area being right in front of the bathroom and my bedroom as well as being the top of the flight of stairs for the upstairs.
This coating is still going strong without fading, peeling or getting milky, it works great. I can still see where I applied it and it looks much better than the previous coating of floor coating that was on before I applied the Rejuvenate.
I really like Rejuvenate Floor Restorer and highly recommend it for a long lasting alternative to refinishing your floors.
I have been having problems with this capture device after using several other programs and doing my daily work. I have found that the device drivers or others I have loaded since installing and using the ConvertX PX-TV402U get into trouble and the deivce quites functioning properly.
I tried uninstallng the drivers and reinstallng the drivers and PlextorGoCap on the one computer to no avail. I found others on the internet who had this same problem and point toward loading other codecs after installing the Plextor ConvertX. I installed the ConvertX onto my other computer and it is now working but I think this is a universal problem with many of the video devices and editing programs.
I have found that after doing the reviews on many of the video editing programs that installing other ones this often renders the first one nonfunctional as the codecs for each program sometimes conflicts with the others. This is a known problem with several programs and codecs but if you do not load these other types of programs often using one should work out fine.
It is usually when you keep changing codecs and drivers for several of these devices that you run into problems. But this is something that is a common problem with video editing programs that you should know about in case you have problems.
