Ergodyne Arsenal Installer/Drill Tool Rig

Ergodyne makes a wide variety of safety and work related gear like vests, tool belts and personal protection that is high quality for real work. The Arsenal line of tool storage from Ergodyne includes belts, pouches and bags along with safety gear for serious workers.

Tool storage and tool belts are all not created equal and buying a professional quality tool belt for use around the home makes sense when that tool belt will last you a lifetime. Quality does not come cheap and the Ergodyne tool belts are made from quality materials with excellent workmanship.

The Arsenal Installer and Drill Tool Rig is a tool belt with a padded back, suspenders, tool belt and two pouches for the belt for various jobs. The larger tool pouch holds a variety of tools and has a main pocket with a smaller front pocket and two pockets front and back.

The main pocket has a large flap to cover the pocket but can be used without the flap simply by tucking it behind the belt and has Velcro closures for securing it closed. The smaller side pocket does get covered by the main safety flap while the two smaller pockets front and back have smaller flaps with Velcro closures.

Installer Rig w/ Suspenders

The main pocket has 11 interior pockets for holding tools and other items while the exterior of the pouch has two smaller pockets for things like screwdrivers. There are four half rings for securing items like safety cables on tools or for hanging things like keys.

Two of the half rings are on each side of the main pockets while two are inside the main pocket at the top with the two side ones between the side pockets and the two small tool pockets. Both larger pockets have a drain hole in case you get water inside the pockets and feature a bottom protective layer of ballistic polyester material.

The drill driver pouch is a handy ambidextrous pouch for a drill and holds a wide variety of drills from small to large ones and a variety of accessories. The drill holder easily holds my Milwaukee Fuel 18 volt drill as well as my smaller DeWalt drill driver and has a main pocket that is divided and three smaller pockets outside the larger one.

On the side of the driver holder there is a tall pocket for long bits and a metal clip near the bottom of the holder for hanging a tool. The Drill pouch also has a short chain on it with a wire holder for hanging rolls of tape which makes the installer rig perfect for electricians.

Installer Rig Pouch & Drill Holder

The drill holder has a snap closure for holding the drill in the pouch as well as a small Velcro patch to keep the closure out of the way when you are using your drill. The drill holder also has a Velcro patch on the back side of the pouch to keep it secured in place on the belt but the tool pouch does not have this.

The belt itself is a two piece belt with a tough thick nylon web belt that has double holes for the dual prongs that secure the belt on your waist. The belt also has a padded support with a large Velcro patch on the ends for quick and easy placement of the belt and then a secure tight fit using the buckle of the web belt.

The padded back of the belt can be used with the waist belt or without and is nice for both keeping cool and for lower back protection. The belt also has four Velcro loops and triangle rings for the suspenders to clip on and these along with the suspenders can be used with the belt for added support for heavy tools.

I have been using the belt for some extra work repairing a fence and for construction work on a building I am painting with plenty of accolades for the Installer Rig. The rig has tough stitching and a very comfortable fit with the padded belt that doubles as a back protector.

Installer Rig w/ Tools

You can remove the back protector padding and use it by itself as well as the main belt for your tool belt but I highly recommend using both together. The Installer Rig is easy to put on using the Velcro closure for a quick wrap around the waist so you don’t have to hold the belt up while getting the buckle done.

The suspenders are nice if you need them but I have not really used them much other than to try them out as I don’t carry enough tools to weigh down the rig. My Milwaukee M18 drill is a bit hefty at five and a half pounds but this does not weigh down the installer rig enough to warrant the use of suspenders.

The Installer rig is an excellent tool belt and is a handy one for a home handyman or for a professional who needs a quality belt on the job. I highly recommend the Arsenal Installer Rig for a home handyman or professional that is a high quality tool belt.

WorkBright LED Rechargeable Work Light

WorkBright LED Rechargeable Work Light

The WorkBright LED Work Light comes as a 10 or 20 watt Rechargeable work light that works extremely well as a work light, emergency light, camp light or all around handy flashlight at home.

WorkBright LED Rechargeable Work Light

The WorkBright LED Rechargeable work light can be used in the shop, at work, in home improvement light, camping, as an emergency light or all around flashlight wherever you need it. The FL-16R that I received from WorkBright is a 10 watt LED work light while the FL-26R is a 20 watt light that is also available from WorkBright.

The WorkBright LED lights are made from aluminum alloy and steel with a solid construction that includes weather proof seals and rubber covered power button. The work light can be used in extreme weather due to its water resistant seals and toughened glass covered front which will not heat up due to the LED lighting.

The WorkBright LED lights are rechargeable with the 2200 mAh 7.4 volt battery in the 10 watt light and uses the included car and AC power adapters to recharge. The LED light has a bright but cool white light while the red flashing LED is handy for emergency use on the road.

Power Switch & Connection

The WorkBright light has a foam padded top handle and four leg stand with a pivot on the light and another on the leg stand for a fully positional light. The legs can be removed from the stand and you can use the quarter inch common thread mounting screw to mount the light on a camera tripod or other stand for light where you need it.

The WorkBright light is bright enough to work by under a car or in an attic and is the nice cool white light that does not distort colors for use in photography. I have used the WorkBright not only as a flashlight for quick jobs on the car or at home finding things but as a light for taking product shots.

The cool white light is measured at about 6000 degrees kelvin which puts it in the very white light spectrum instead of the off yellow that normal incandescent lights are. The WorkBright works well as a photography light as it gives off a daylight white light without that annoying yellow tint.

WorkBright

The WorkBright can be charged from a car 12 volt power outlet so the light makes a perfect companion on the road or camping and as an emergency light. The red flashing LEDs make a perfect emergency light as it is bright and can last 2 to 3 hours for a decent battery life from its 3 to 4 hour charge.

The WorkBright light works well but the main thing I really like about it besides the handy positioning and bright white light is the nice size of the light. I am constantly losing, misplacing and forgetting where I put my flashlights and the WorkBright is large enough not to easily set it down and then forget where I put it.

I have been using the WorkBright light for all kinds of jobs and have come to really appreciate the light as a general work light and for photography. The WorkBright rechargeable work light is available from Amazon and Outdoor Fire Pits USA for about $90 which may seem like a lot.

WorkBright on Gorillapod

Rechargeable LED work lights at home improvement stores cost this much and when you consider the internal rechargeable battery and quality construction the WorkBright does stand out. I highly recommend the WorkBright LED rechargeable work light for a fantastic work light and emergency light wherever you need to brighten your work space.

Quick Belt System Tool Belt

Quick Belt System Tool Belt

The Quick Belt System is a unique modular tool belt that uses buckles to snap on and off different pouches and accessories quickly and easily as well as a convenient way to store pouches.

Quick Belt System with a lttle wear

The Quick Belt System is a modular tool belt that has a variety of pouches and accessories that use a quick snap buckle on a sleeve to attach them to the belt. The heart of the system is a single or double buckle sleeve that each pouch or accessory snaps onto which you can put on any 2 or 3 inch tool belt.

Quick Belt sells a great Velcro and buckle closure padded belt but I have mixed and matched the system on another belt just to see how well it would work. I received four pouches with a general tool pouch in the 8 Pocket Builder pouch and two square pouches along with the Universal Drill Holster.

Quick Belt Pouches

The tool belt system is unique with a quick and easy way to switch pouches and accessories that make work much easier going from one type of job to another. You can buy various pouches for different jobs and have all the necessary tools and items easily available quickly on the job.

The double buckle sleeve is about 6.5 inches wide and has the two buckles to attach your pouch on one side secured to the sleeve with stitching and a rivet. You can wear the sleeves on the outside or to keep the pouches snug against your body with the buckles on the inside of the belt.

Pouches on Quick Belt

The buckles for the tool belt system are a common sized buckle and you can buy sleeves, handles and even individual buckles attached to short straps to use on other pouches and accessories. The system makes each pouch and accessory not only belt compatible but useful without the belt using the buckle system for carrying or hanging pouches.

You can buy the buckles and hang them on pegboard or a garage wall or use the storage rack to hang pouches on and keep them more organized than simply setting them on a bench or in a bin. The Quick Belt System is really handy on a belt but the company has thought of just about every conceivable way to use the system when not wearing them. Using the various straps, buckles and sleeves they have you covered for any situation you come up with at work or home.

8 Pocket Builders Pouch

The system even has a bucket belt available to hang pouches from a 5 gallon bucket for convenient use of pouches at a work site or anywhere else you could use the strap. You can use the strap to hang the pouches on a wall or other item and a bucket using the buckles on each end of the strap.

They also have straps that have Velcro for creating a loop for use on a belt, ladder step or just about anywhere else you need to hang a pouch or accessory. You can also buy one inch buckles and make your own straps or attachment points but the company does sell some nice buckles on short webbing to use anywhere you want.

Universal Drill Holster

Photographers, nature enthusiasts and even hikers can use parts of the system both for carrying and storing your gear at home, in the garage or at the work site. From water bottles and snacks to drills, hammers and screws the Quick Belt System works so well I could not give a better recommendation for a tool belt or accessory carrying system.
