Dremel Duo

While this is not meant and does not have the power for jobs like full carpentry it does have plenty of power for quick jobs around the home or shop. I had no problem securing the stairs on my deck, putting up some boards over windows in the basement for winter and a few other jobs.

The Dremel Driver is the perfect household screw driver with plenty of power when you need it as well as the torque to drive screws in fully. The driver has a motor brake as well for preventing stripped screws but I am not sure how this works exactly.

I had no problems with screwing in large screws like those four inch deck screws but it does have really good control so when the screw is in almost all the way the motor slows and seems to add torque for better driving. I drove thirty 3 inch screws into a four by four without problems and still had enough power to do some more stuff by my desk.

The Dremel Driver is great but what about the other half of the Dremel Duo, the Dremel Stylus rotary tool is also a great around the house tool. The Stylus does a great job for those quick fix ups that a rotary tool is good for like drilling some quick holes for picture hanging or jobs like fixing up the deck.

My walls are plaster and about half the time I have to drill a pilot hole in order to drive a screw into the wall or a nail, sometimes you hit a spot that you cannot hammer a nail in. Once you start to hammer you have a dent or chip in the wall and it makes sense to try to use the same home so I drill a small home and then drive a nail in to hang a picture.

The Dremel Stylus is a nice rotary tool for this kind of work and has the speed and power just like the Dremel Driver with its lithium-ion batteries. The lithium-ion batteries have the power you need for quick jobs or continuous ones like drilling pilot holes for that deck fixing or other around the house jobs.

The rotary tool does not start out quick and strong but slowly and in about a half a second is up to full speed so you start with the bit off the work and let the rotary tool come up to speed. Once the rotary tool is going you can start using it for sanding, grinding, drilling and polishing or whatever job you have for a great rotary tool.

The Dremel Rotary tool comes with a good assortment of bits in a plastic container as well as a few additional pieces like the wrench, polishing compound, extra sanding pads and polishing pads. The rotary tool does a great job for small work like polishing silver or brass, drilling holes in intricate work like models and bigger work like pilot holes and grinding.

I had no problem using either the Stylus or the Driver and enjoyed working with both of them; they really do work very well. The Stylus does a great job for that intricate work like on scale models or balsa wood and does really well for quick jobs like drilling pilot holes and such.

Both tools are very comfortable to hold with a gun type grip and rubber pads for a non slip grip with easy to reach fingertip controls. The Stylus has the speed control on the back or the motor section and the on/off switch near the front by your index finger.

The Dremel Driver has the trigger button and the forward and back switch is back and up from that with the switch middle position being the collet lock. Both the Dremel Driver and Stylus are easy to control due to the grip type and nice non-slip rubber grips.

The Dremel Duo is a great tool for around the house and shop with its nice stand for easy charging and a nice holder for the tools as well as bits. The wrench sits on the stand as well as an assortment of holes for the accessory bits and has a small bowl for other parts of the set.

Whats in the Box

The Dremel Duo is the perfect tool set for around the home and a great on the job set for do it yourself projects as an extra tool set. The Dremel Driver is a great and powerful little screwdriver for those odd jobs and the Dremel Stylus makes the perfect companion for all those quick jobs like drilling or polishing and sanding.

The Dremel Duo is the perfect set of tools and I highly recommend it; it is the perfect tool for around the home, office or computer lab.
