You can download racer skins, upload or view other racers photos and ghost ships of their own races as well as download new tracks and ships. They also have a leader board for the true fanatics of the Wipeout series to brag about your racing accomplishments.
The Wipeout series has always been heavy on the racing and they have done a really good job of getting all the right elements to create a well designed and nice looking game that is an enjoyment even if it is tough for first timers. This is not the game you can pick up and breeze through in an afternoon, or even a week. You can easily play through some of the races and become adept at the racing but you will find the AI tough and responsive to you as you plunge ahead in the campaign.
Wipeout Pulse will have you racing through tracks with gravity defying ease and the addition of things like weapons and loyalty bonuses adds to the great racing action. The game includes ghost ships to help you in showing if your behind or ahead as well as the variety of in game pick-ups like Turbo boost or autopilot. You can also download MP3 songs and use them as the music you hear during races for fully customizable racing.
Wipeout: Pulse is a great game and well worth the effort to become familiar and comfortable with the feel of each ship. It does take some effort to control each class of ship well enough to start beating other racers but the efforts will be well rewarded in personal satisfaction.
Wipeout pulse is definitely a great game and one that is especially well suited for the PSP handheld gaming system.
