I am a bit mixed on my use of apps for the iPhone, for one I don’t own an iPhone, I have used one for the review here, and I really don’t see the cost being worth it for me. On the other hand if you don’t mind the hefty price of the iPhone 3GS then having apps that make your life easier would be worthwhile.

One app that would be great, as I have clearly seen, would be the TwitVid app, a video upload and sharing application that quickly and easily adds video to Twitter, MySpace, FaceBook and even YouTube.  The app is very easy to use; simply go to the menu on your iPhone and press the Twitvid icon to start up the app, choose a video to upload or record a new one.

Choosing whether you want to upload a video or record a new one from the main page of TwitVid on your iPhone sends the app to either the camera record function or your page of videos. To record a new video simply start the recording and record while watching the screen or upload by choosing the video you want to send to Twitter or other sharing websites.

The app is really very simple and you only have to input your account information for Twitter once and the phone will remember it for future use. When you first start up the app you will have to enter your Twitter information and once that is in it will always have this done for you.

The app really is as easy to use with some very simple video uploading that works very well and has plenty of business applications as well as fun things for just about everyone. You can upload videos through a network, just like I have as I did not have an account for the cellphone, to simply share videos if you can’t get reception or don’t have a contract for the cell phone.

If you’re into fun videos like many on YouTube the app does work very well but for business I can see plenty of applications, take real estate for instance. The realtor can do a walk around using his iPhone and simply record a much better looking video than still pictures can possibly do.

Trust me when I say still pictures, even digital, do not really do a home justice when you’re looking at MLS or realtor listings of homes but video gives you a simple way to view aspects of a home that are not possible with stills. Simply walk around a home with your iPhone on video record and upload through your cell phone connection for a quick and easy video of a home that you can link to for potential buyers to watch.

I can also see other business use like conventions and conferences for business people to quickly upload video to a company website or individuals who could not attend to get all the benefits of being there. Just a few quick ideas for business use but for fun use simply go to TwitVid.com and see all the various videos people have been posting.

Using the TwitVid.com website and settings there you can upload not only to Twitter but to FaceBook, YouTube or MySpace just as easily by setting your video preferences. Log into your Twitter account and set the AutoShare function to upload to either of the three other websites.

Sharing to Other Websites

This works equally as well as the automatic and default upload to Twitter for some really fast and easy sharing of video that works quickly. I uploaded a three minute video through my network of my new home which took about the same time to upload as the video plays.

Times for videos to upload will vary according to the length of the video and will take about the same time as the video is in duration so if you have a twenty minute video it will take twenty minutes to upload. Processing time will vary according to the video and site your uploading to but will usually be either none or very short at about a minute.

The TwitVid app for Twitter really is an easy to use app for the iPhone 3GS that works well and is simple and easy to use for a great application. Check out TwitVid at TwitVid.com and see what all the fuss is about with this easy to use and functional app for the iPhone 3GS.
