Turok PC

The graphics in Turok have issues and it looks very much like a port from the console version but for any problems the control scheme more than makes up for. The graphics at times have problems like this light streak around characters or some poor textures but overall the game does a fine job but could have been pushed more especially with the Unreal Engine.

The gameplay does a fine job and several scenes are great, I truly enjoyed trying over and over again one scene where there are several raptors right before a wave fight against humans in an abandoned fort area. You can start off by chasing the raptors toward the enemy with a quick flare gun as they try the same to you. The close in approach works well at the start but when three or four waves of enemies come rolling in on you the end never seems to be in sight.

This endless wave of combatants is another issue with Turok but one that does not make the game unplayable or overly difficult, just a bit frustrating. The controls now make up for several of my frustrations with the console version so I can handle a little difficulty of the more numbers kind instead of not being able to hit the side of a armored personnel carrier much less a rampaging raptor.

Turok for the PC is one of those games that the single player campaign is a fun time and for me well worth the entire time of playing through. I will be sure to visit Turok again soon for more single player action and try to see if more are jumping on the servers for some multiplayer fun. Although there were no great overall graphical or gameplay elements Turok does play well and is plain fun.
Turok for the PC is well worth the cost and gives many hours of fun and dino fighting adventure even if not many are playing online. I think the PC version of Turok is by and far much better than the console version.
