Turok PC
The game is basically the same as far as story, gameplay and the levels themselves but the game seems so different when you have accurate controls and can make Turok do what you want.

Oh, what a difference a mouse and keyboard make, let me say off the bat that I think Turok for the PC is great. It may not be the best thing since Crysis or even Ghost Recon but it gets the job done and in style.
The main problem I had with the XBox 360 version of this game was the controls or lack of. The game plays fine and once you do get used to the XBox 360 control schemes you can do decent but to enjoy the game is another story. Port the game to the PC so you have not only the same game in just about every aspect but minus the controls and you have a whole different game.
Turok is about a man who has a somewhat checkered past who is called in by his current employer, okay the military, to go in and capture the leader of Turok’s old mercenary outfit. Turok is a descendent of an Indian tribe and this puts the background for his abilities and use of a bow right out in the front. Killing dinosaurs with a bow is a real treat when you can actually aim accurately and hit what you want.
The entire game is fun and all though not the best caliber of graphics and audio the gameplay is there for a good action packed first person shooter. I am not quite sure why so few people are playing the multiplayer as I think this section of the game is just as good as the single player but multiplayer fans are a finicky lot.
One area I can see as a problem for the multiplayer is how you join a game, you ask to join a game type and the computer matches you up instead of listing servers so you can jump into any servers you want. I have played a few other games like this and it does make the joining easier if there are people playing but when the choices are slim it makes for a lot of waiting for others to join as the computer searches for people. If you could just join a server then you could wait while you roamed the countryside and at least dueled with dinos.
I can easily see how they are put off by the game and how they did not do such a great job on the multiplayer with the next in line of this dino hunter classic but the gameplay is fun in that mindless kill anything that moves before it bites your head off. Turok is a Touchstone release and has that movie feel to it throughout the entire story and campaign. This is both a good thing and a bad thing as the story is there and some fantastic voice acting with big time actors but the game plays a bit too much in a linear fashion and more like a screenplay than a video game.
Voice acting stars the talents of Gregory Cruz as Turok, Timothy Olyphant of Hitman fame and Powers Booth along with Chris Judge of StarGate SG-1, Donnie Wahlberg and William Fitchner to name the main stars. There are several others as well and the cast of voice actors are a great group of multi talented actors who did a fantastic job of not only voice acting but of matching the actors with their on screen characters persona’s.
