Once you validate or make sure the track works you can build shadows and save the track. You can also share the track with others on the various servers and race against others on it. You can join the Explorer feature and share your creations of tracks and car skins with others right from the game.
As with any player built tracks and skins there are ones that are difficult, easy and almost impossible as well as ridiculous in nature. But it’s all in fun and even if you don’t like to build your own tracks it is fun to race ones others have created for a unique twist.
The editor works fine and is simple and easy to use as well as almost limitless in track design. You have just about everything you can image and build with the various pieces and a wide variety of levels for a truly unique race track editor. The editing functions work well and are pretty basic which adds to the ease of use.
TrackMania has some great graphics with some really good effects like seeing your drivers head bobble around during bumps and the world events like sunshine and other weather looks very good. The physics and just about everything you see and hear are fantastic with some very good attention to details for everything in the game.
The audio is also fantastic with a very good mix of sound effects and music that even plays according to the world type you’re in. There were no problems with audio or visuals and this is the kind of game creation with a full and complete game design that you want to see in every game that is published.
TrackMania United Forever is a great game and if you have not played any TrackMania game in the past I highly recommend this for a fast paced pick up and play race game that is fun and highly customizable. If you have played TrackMania before this is an added collection of tracks in a complete package with plenty of upgrades in gaming.
