Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is yet another massive multiplayer online fantasy role playing game that adds in a nice single player component as well as a fully fleshed out multiplayer game that is pretty good. Overall Sacred 2: Fallen Angel does not bring anything new to the table but it does well with what is there and has a new feel to it from previous role playing games.
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a third person perspective role playing game set in a fantasy world called Ancaria where you create your character then move out to explore your new surroundings. Adventuring consists of meeting people in the world’s towns and taking on small jobs like finding something someone lost or attacking creatures that have become a nuisance for local villagers.
Most often these small adventures will take 15 minutes to a half hour or so to complete with most of this time being going to and from the various locations and the rest being in combat. After you choose your character that has predetermined attributes you simply join the world in the single player campaign and start out looking for jobs.

You will have a few basic weapons and simply kill off other beings for more experience and treasure they carry as well as finding more loot in boxes, trunks and lying around. The jobs in themselves aren’t particularly difficult but when you have numerous attackers it can get plenty hectic.
You do get a really well done interface for your character with a few smaller menu sections on your screen with main clickable sections in the center bottom, lower right and upper right areas that open up or select objects and menu pages. Each one is quite easy to use just like all the other portions of the game; in fact I found it easy to play the whole game without having to refer to any manual on my digital download copy.

The attributes and character abilities is simply selected when you level up or when you have points available and you choose from logical selections that also have descriptions when hovering. All the technical aspects of Sacred 2 have been well honed and thought out so the game is easy to play even if your not familiar with role playing games.
You can choose from several classes like High Elf, Dryad or Temple Guardian that are both race and specialty specific like my first character of Dryad who is best at ranged weapons, magic related to the outdoors and is an Elf. Other classes are available that make use of more weapons or more magic that are pretty well balanced for a wide variety of characters to choose from.
In Sacred 2: Fallen Angel you have to main game types in single player and online multiplayer as well as two main campaigns of Light and Dark. Each game type is actually useable against the other with a good example in attacking or defending a town depending on the light or dark you choose.
You can start a character in the single player campaign of light or dark or start one of several characters in the multiplayer section and jump from an open or closed single player campaign to a single player coop campaign with those characters. Whether you choose the online campaigns or single player you have pretty much the same game but a few more options and much tougher fights in the online gaming.
The game looks and sounds great with plenty of nice animations and graphical effects as well as realistic audio like the swish of robes and cloth or the clink of armor as you walk. I really enjoy the fact that some of the sayings are a bit different from the usual fare of audio with real world sayings mixed into the narrative.

Sayings like “I see a light I think I’ll head for it.”
or “What are these red numbers over my head?” while in gameplay really add to the game. It’s these little things that add to the game more than the major things as long as things work well during the gameplay.
Things do work well and then some in Fallen Angel, the game plays just fine and I had no problems with anything like glitches and frame rates to viewing. There are some small things like sometimes the view could be longer or it is a little cramped and you do have to move the camera around a bit more in dungeons and underground but nothing that really detracts from the gaming.
One of the main story themes is T Energy that you will find runs things in the game like resurrections points but you will also see these conduits around the game that are in various states of disrepair. This T Energy is what all the fuss is about with both the light and dark sides trying to fight for control of the magical energy known as T Energy.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a great game and one that plays just fine with very good effects and has plenty of room for gaming on a very large game world. There are plenty of widely varying missions to go on and even the two major gameplay areas in the single player and multiplayer areas for a good overall game.
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel may not break new ground as a role playing game but it does very well with a vivid and well made game that is fun to play.
