Cocoto Magic Circus brings arcade shooting to the Wii in the form of the original arcade shooting games like ducks with a slight monster twist. Cocoto Magic Circus is brought to the Wii by Conspiracy Entertainment and Neko Entertainment with both single player and multiplayer arcade shooting much like the circus duck shooting with a BB gun.
Cocoto Magic Circus starts in either a single player or multiplayer environment as a group of mini games arcade shooting style. Whether you play the single player or multiplayer Arcade mode you try to save Fairy from the clutches of the evil looking Clown who has used his wiles as an entertainer to entrance your party of imps and then kidnap your friend Fairy.
In order to save Fairy you need to shoot your way through a group of mini games all based at shooting targets. In some of the mini games you just shoot at bad monsters running around while others will add friends that you must miss. Very much in the same vein as circus arcade shooting you have some games like shoot the bad guys on spinning boards while you need to miss the good ones.
Other games have Fairy being held captive and monsters are running out and will push her off the cliff so you have to shoot them before they get to her. Another game simply has a ball in the middle and your shots will push the ball toward your opponent while he is doing the same, the most accurate and quickest shot will have the ball push into the loser. One type of game has an acrobatic monster on a pile of stuff and you have one shot to hit the spinning target at the base of the pile to knock him down.
All the games include either accuracy or just shooting enough to hit the targets and some have the inclusion of not hitting your friends for both accuracy and decision making before you take the shot. The arcade style game for the multiplayer simply adds two people to the mini game and just about doubles the required hits before a win for each level toward victory.
You can also play the tournament mode or duel mode in multiplayer with two or four players for the duel mode and two, three or four players for the tournament mode. The tournament mode plays the mini games and has each player taking their turn at the same mini game to see who gets the best score and wins the tournament. The duel pits player in a head to head duel with some games having players competing against each other in the mini game like the ball pushing game. Other games have each player trying to outshoot the other before the time runs out or whoever gets the more shots first.
