ARCON 3D Architect is a product of Eleco Software Limited from the United Kingdom in a full line of design and architecture software in two major sections. Their line of Grand Design is the do it yourself project software for redesigning or remodeling your own home.
The ARCON line of software is your complete professional home design software including the software package I received for reviewing. The 3D Architect software is a handy and great way to make your dreams come true whether it’s a room or home addition or the complete design of a new home.
While this product is sold in the United Kingdom you can purchase it through Eleco for your own use, the software default is in meters when you start but you can use either metric or imperial measuring or feet and inches. This makes the product useable anywhere in the world and is a very handy design program that I like a lot with several of its handy features.
The ARCON 3D Architect is a complete software package including plenty of helpful manuals to help you in loading the program, getting started with a new design and getting all those finishing touches. The program starts with either a helpful Project Assistant to guide you through the basic pick and choose questions of what you want to build.
You can also start with a blank slate and choose to build from the ground up with your own designs and work from the handy build and insert menus. The program is really easy to use and has the manuals for a quick reference without having to take your screen down for additional help.
I really like the fact that the manuals have so much information that is also in the help section, it’s nice to be able to read and then perform whatever function you’re trying out while you’re open to your project. Once you have started your project there are simple sections for adjusting and changing properties throughout the house from the top menu choices.
Building your house or design is easy with the handy tools, I truly like the editing wall tools but many of the objects have special tools for their properties. You can join or lengthen walls simply by clicking on wall end or section. The join wall tool works in a few ways depending on how you want to extend or join the wall pieces.
