The Ultimate HD Playback and Creativity Software is how the Cyberlink website first describes this package of software programs for doing just about everything you could want to with everything from simple erasing of a disc to complete hard drive backup and restoring. I cannot think of a more simple to use and complete package of programs for doing anything you could think of with a disc and data of just about every kind.
The Cyberlink DVD Suite 6 Ultra comes complete with ten full applications for using with DVD’s and CDs as well as those high definition and Blu Ray discs. If you can do it to a disc this program has the software for it, or just about. You can do simple things like copy DVD’s or CD’s or complex tasks like creating full movies including menus and content and even compress them onto smaller discs.
I have reviewed quite a few copy and video editing programs and suites lately and this is the one that has the most and best features I have seen in one suite of programs. You can go from one to the next easily for the common things like editing a video and then go to creating a DVD, HD DVD or Blu Ray disc of the movie. The program even has a favorites section that allows you to create icons of your favorite and most often used programs from the entire suite for ease of access.
CyberLink is one of the first programs I received for watching movies several years ago and is one that I have continually used when codec’s would not play a movie or video. I often use the movie player that comes with my operating system like Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center but when the video will not play due to codec incompatibility I pull out my copy of CyberLink’s PowerDVD. I don’t even remember what I purchased that included the PowerDVD program but it is one that I have had no problems with for years and one that I usually turn to first when a movie or video will not play on some other player or program.
I have used this same program for years now and have kept the disc safe and secure for installing on new systems or when my old system crashes and I just can’t play videos on anything else. That said I have always looked forward to Cyberlink programs as they, at least in one instance, have never failed me.
