Skin Set & Pro Speed Belt

On the Skin Set cases there is a flap with Velcro closures that also has a plastic tab that fits into the loops for making the pouches secure on the loop you choose. You can put the flap outside the loops and be able to slide the pouch on the belt so you can rotate the individual pouch around your waste to get at its contents.

Each pouch is a different size or you can purchase the Pro Speed Belt and individual Skin cases that would work best for your situation and equipment. But I would really recommend buying the set as it contains a good variety of cases and would make a great future proof set for equipment you may be getting.

The Skin Set contains five cases that make for a great set; Skin 50 for a lens, Skin 75 Pop Down for longer lenses, Double Wide for two lenses, Skin Strobe for a flash and the Skin Chimp for your camera and accessories. Each Skin has a different size and fits nicely for what it is made for but you can surely use it for any of your equipment that fits.

Each Skin pouch is basically the same other than size with a long flap that fits over the opening that can be closed with or without the Velcro by attaching a flap over the Velcro. This flap that is one side of the Velcro will allow you to fold the flap down over the case and not use the Velcro so you can open and close the Skin case quietly.

You can also fold the flap inside the case and use the Skin set without any of the flaps or in any combination as you see fit, the Skin Set is very versatile. Each case of the Skin Set comes with a divider so you partition off parts of the cases as well as a waterproof rain cover.

The waterproof seam sealed rain covers have a Velcro closure on the end of the strap to connect the rain cover to the case so you don’t lose it. You can attach the rain cover to the bottom loop of each case and store it in the bottom zippered compartment for easy storage when not in use. There is also a loop in the top rear of each case for attaching the rain cover so you don’t drop it while working in the bag.

Double Wide w/ Rain Cover

Each Skin Set case has a Velcro closing front pouch while the Double Wide has the two on each section as well as a zippered compartment on the flap of each case. Each of the four Skin Sets have one large compartment as the main area but the Double Wide just as its name implies has two separate compartments.

The Skin 75 Pop Down and the Chimp Cage also has a unique feature for more room in a pop down section that is an extra couple of inches of added space using a zipper on the bottom with material in a unique design. Just unzip the zipper and it will add two inches to the case on the bottom of either one but if you don’t need the extra room just zip it up and it pulls the bottom and extra material up.

The Skin Set is very handy and works very well in field work; I wore this in use at a wildlife refuge and hiked around taking photos of the wildlife. The padded belt does not dig in at all and remained comfortable around my waist and getting to the two Skin Set cases you have right near your sides is very quick and easy.

Of course with trial and use you will figure out your most comfortable wearing of your Skin Set and whichever belt you decide to use with the set. The padded Pro Speed Belt is a very comfortable one and a definite step up from a simple web strap around your waist.

Pro Speed Belt

After using the Pro Speed Belt and the Skin Set for a month now I can see that it is truly a professional quality case system for your photography equipment. While the Skin Set cases are not padded the dividers, bottom compartment with the rain covers in them and the front flap and Velcro patches do offer enough protection from accidental roughness.

The Skin Set is not designed as a protection case for your equipment but as a handy way to carry around your equipment for quick access. The Pro Speed Belt makes this even easier with its rotating ability for the Skin cases around your body so you can quickly move a case in front of you.

The Skin Set and Pro Speed Belt are both fantastic ways to carry around your equipment for field work making for easy and quick access. I highly recommend the Pro Speed Belt and the Skin Set for the perfect professional photography case system for carrying all your photography equipment in the field.
