Canon XSi for Dummies

The book helps you with things like portrait photography using a bounce flash or a diffuser along with things like what external flashes do for your photography. They have all the terms you need to know and settings for these flashes and what you can do in different situations or even when not to use them like for shiny objects.
With learning all about your specific camera and trying out the settings and what they can do you can learn more about your camera and how to take the best pictures using the camera and a general lens that usually comes with the camera. There are not even chapters devoted to all the available accessories because there is just too much out there to talk about. This book goes into depth about the Canon EOS XSi camera and not about other topics to give you the help you need for your camera and all its various settings and features.
I think some of the most important aspects of the book are the fact that it is not a general photography book telling you about a broad range of cameras using general terms for the whole range. This book tells you specifically from one setting to the next what each one does on the Canon EOS Rebel XSi and how they all affect your final picture.
You can read the book and try out what they are talking about using the large and clear pictures as well and the very well explained examples for each setting and term. Using not only clear and large color pictures of subjects but of the camera and its settings you will see what they are talking about for buttons, switches, menus and settings.
For examples and subjects they show the settings in various ways and what the settings will do to your subject in direct pictures as well as using diagrams and examples to help you understand concepts easily. I really like the general way they show you various photography concepts like what exposure using the f stop does along with changing the speed of the aperture.
You get to see right in pictures as well as try it out for yourself so you get the correct knowledge of what the settings do and understand deep down what each one is for. To do this in photography back in the days of film processing was either very expensive or done through a book with the same kinds of pictures.
Now you can take this book that not only shows you on your camera but explains and gives examples as well as trying your hand and get the results immediately using your camera and a computer. The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi/450D for Dummies is a great book and a must have companion to your Canon Eos Rebel XSi.
This book is not a recommendation but a requirement for owning such an expensive piece of digital photography equipment for the amateur or novice. If you have upgraded from a point and shoot digital to the Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D you need this book.
