Airport Addicted V 2.0

Backpack Straps Out

There are several attachment points for hanging gear or even Think Tank gear onto the Addicted case as well as being able to use other systems with the case like a Pro Speed Belt. If you want a better padded waist belt you can use the Pro Speed belt on the Addicted V 2.0 by simply removing the waist belt that comes with the Addicted and passing the Pro Speed belt through the flap that covers the straps. This extra padded flap that conceals the straps when not in use is securely fastened to the Addicted case and will hold the pro speed belt in place with its stitching placement designed just for this use.

You can have the pro speed belt and any case bags such as the Speed Belt Packs or the Skin Set components on the Pro Speed Belt or on the shoulder straps. There are attach points on the shoulder straps for both smaller pockets and packs as well as metal loops for clipping on anything you would like such as keys or even a small monocular.

The strap system for the monopod or tripod allows you to put two feet of a tripod in a small fabric cup so you can strap a tripod or monopod onto the side of the Addicted V 2.0 case. The strap system for the tripod allows for a variety of photography stands and you can use a pocket on the side for smaller monopods easily.

You can even use it for a light stand or other stands as two stands I have for a Smith Victor light kit also fits easily into the strap system. One thing I have found with the Addicted V 2.0 case is there is a lot of variety and various configurations you can come up with for your gear and carrying things around.

The three pockets on the front zippered cover can hold small books and manuals, Memory Card holders and smaller items for your camera. The dividers separate your gear in the large compartment and can hold plenty of gear, I really do not have enough stuff to fill the case myself but I am sure professional and amateurs alike will like the spacious interior.

On the outside of the bag there is a small zippered pocket on the top as well as the identity pocket for an ID card in case things get lost. The Airport Addicted V 2.0 also comes with a tough three combination snap hasp lock for securing your case by locking the two zippers for the main compartment together.

I have to say I am really impressed with the Think Tank Photo Airport Addicted Bag with all its various features that had to come from the minds of people who actually use their products. These are not features from someone who decided to make bags and stuff that they really never use other than the one time they design them.

The rain cover that many Think Tank products come with is on the Addicted V2.0 as well with some great ingenuity going into its design as well. The rain cover is a nice waterproof fabric that covers the entire case, with or without a tripod attached for rain protection while carrying or using as a backpack.

The side of the rain cover that goes over the attach points for the tripod straps has a section that comes out for use with larger tripods that are taller than the Addicted case. You can carry tripods that are a foot or so taller than the Airport Addicted V 2.0 and use the extended rain cover section to protect them as well under the protective covering.

The rain cover can be carried in a section of the case or can be attached to any of the handy loops for quick access while in the field. The rain cover is also secured around the case with a draw string that uses a spring clamp to secure the drawstring with the cover around the case.

Plenty of Room Inside

The Airport Addicted V 2.0 is a fantastic case for both professional and amateur photographers for all their gear on the go or at home as a storage case. While not traveling it is a great place to store all your gear for the next trip or for us amateurs the best way to organize your photo gear when not in use.

I use mine for all my photography equipment except for my camera and the lens in use at the time so I know where all my gear is and it’s ready to go for those trips.  This makes a great case for storage of your gear as well as the perfect traveling case as it is a legal carry-on size that fits those overhead compartments on airplanes.

The Think Tank Airport Addicted V 2.0 case is a perfect case for the professional and amateur that is well worth the cost even for an amateur. This is the type of case that makes a great first investment for the amateur photographer wanting a good featured and well built case for travel and perfect for storage of a good amount of gear.

I highly recommend the Airport Addicted V 2.0 for an excellent travel and storage case for a good amount of photography equipment. Think Tank has three sizes of the Airport V 2.0 line of travel backpack cases available with most of the features of the Addicted V 2.0 I have reviewed.
