Kohler Simplice Faucet

This in itself makes a great way to install a faucet in my book, the less time I have to spend lying on the edge of a baseboard with my arms straining to tighten down the faucet is better. The faucet handle installs with a simple long nut on a threaded post under the handle assembly that tightens with a socket or wrench that has a bracket between the nut and the sink or counter.

The handle is your conventional single faucet handle with the two supply lines and a connection for the single hose that is a quick connect type. The supply hoses are the common thread size so connecting them to existing plumbing should be no problem.

The Kohler Simplice is a really quick and easy to install faucet that makes replacing a faucet look easy for even the most inexperienced do it yourselfer. Both the faucet spout body and the handle assembly have a rubber O ring to seal them to the sink or countertop to keep water from going under them.

Aerated Flow

The Simplice has two normal modes of spray; a nice gentle pot or sink filling aerated flow and the heavy hitting pot cleaning spray. The pause button is very nice to allow that momentary off while moving the spout to a pot or other reason while you are working with the faucet.

Spray Setting

The pause is a simple rubber coated push button and the spray diverter for either the flow or spray is a simple rocker button that stays in position when you turn off the water. Whichever position you leave the spout on, spray or flow, it will still be in that position when you come back later.

Using the Simplice is very nice for a few reasons; the spray and flow switch back and forth easily and the pause button makes filling pots simple and clean. The high arch spout adds a nice elegance as well as a nice pot filling get out of the way feature for use in the sink area.

The high arch also adds more area under the spout for working on things like cleaning dishes, vegetables and fruit or even hands. I thought having such a high spout would be a problem with spray all over the place but I have not had a problem with the higher spout on faucets in the kitchen.

They do give you more area and allow a wider range of filling pots and such without actually having to place the pots or kettles in the sink. The Simplice gives an extra boost in performance and ease of cooking and cleaning tasks by not having to use the sink to actually fill things like large pots or kettles.

The Simplice is a very nice faucet that is extremely easy to install and I have not had any problems using it for the last month. I enjoy the high spout and the full rotation means you can move the spout anywhere around the sink you want.

I highly recommend the Kohler Simplice Secondary Faucet for a great regular kitchen faucet or for that secondary sink, this may be a slightly more costly purchase but one that is definitely worth it.
