De'Longhi Espresso Maker

The crema from the espresso maker makes a nice tasting espresso and is one of the best total brewing processes I have seen from a home espresso maker. The De’Longhi espresso maker does a great job at making your espresso and cappuccino drinks.

Cleaning out the machine is easy and takes just a minute; you simply remove the filter holder, empty the grounds and wash it out. The tray underneath to catch drippings needs to be washed occasionally but not very often. The entire machine is not only easy to use but very simple to clean as well.
Another area that needs some cleaning, after 300 uses by the manual, is the filter that the water goes through after the boiler tank. There is a screw under the area where the filter holder turns on that allows the screen to fall out. This screen is cleaned under hot water with a brush to get any mineral deposits out and is actually pretty easy to clean as well.
Espresso and Cappuccino from the De’Longhi Pump Driven Espresso/Cappuccino Maker tastes great and is that perfect blend of ease of use, simplicity of cleaning and great tasting coffee. The crema is nice and for some reason, probably the years of design and manufacturing expertise, is really much better than previous models of espresso makers I have seen.
The steam feature and frother works well and is easy to use as well as clean. The frother/steamer attachment unscrews but care should be taken when replacing it, they have not included a good space before the threads so it may be a bit too easy to cross thread the plastic frother onto the steel tube when screwing it on. This was the only thing I found to be a problem with the De’Longhi espresso maker and one that a little care should be easy to avoid any problems with.
The De’Longhi Espresso maker also allows you to use the machine to heat up water for quick and easy teas, hot chocolates or whatever you need a quick cup of hot water for. Simply turn the function knob to the heat indicator and after the green OK light comes up move the knob to the espresso/ water position after opening the steam knob. The hot water will come out the frother steamer tube and fill your cup with hot water.
This easy to use function adds to the various features of the De’Longhi Espresso maker for a great full featured espresso machine. The De’Longhi Espresso Maker is very handsome and looks good sitting on my counter; I just don’t have the counter space for many things. This is one that will stay out for the time being though, it makes wonderful espresso and it’s easy.
I found almost no reviews of the De’Longhi Espresso maker in the many varied coffee, espresso and cappuccino websites so could not find out what the “professionals” think. But I did find plenty of positive reviews from average owners that have purchased the espresso maker and were quite happy with their new espresso brewing system.
I really enjoyed reviewing the De’Longhi Pump Driven Espresso/Cappuccino Maker and making espressos and cappuccinos with it. The espresso maker is easy to use and very convenient; it even has a holder for the filter that is not in use under the cover for the water tank.
I highly recommend the De’Longhi Pump Driven Espresso/Cappuccino Maker for an easy to use and great tasting espresso and cappuccino.
