The Gomadic QuadCharge Universal Charging Station is your all in one solution for charging handheld game systems, cell phones, media players, GPS units and a host of others. You can find tips for your devices in the Tip Exchange for so many various portable and even some not so portable devices I was really surprised.
Just when you thought you had heard it all along comes a device that can charge so many different devices it is not funny, I even found a Disney Hannah Montana Mix Max Player tip. They have a huge variety of devices and special tips to make your Gomadic QuadCharge your all in one solution for keeping your gadgets fully charged.
The Gomadic QuadCharge Universal Charging Station comes with the QuadCharge base with the charging power adapter already installed in the unit. There are no additional parts but you do need to purchase tips from the Tip Exchange for your particular device.
That is the beauty of this simple charging station, each device has its unique tip and you only need to purchase the ones you have devices for. There are literally hundreds of tips for your devices from the Amazon Kindle to the Vodaphone VPA, whatever that is.
All the popular and common devices like Gameboy Advanced SP, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable are here and like I said ones I have to laugh about like the Disney devices branded under Hannah Montana, Pirates of the Caribbean and High School Musical. They have literally hundreds of devices listed for tips so chances are very good they have one for your device as well as ones for your kids and all their gadgets.
The QuadCharge Station works on a simple basis of a power adapter that puts out 5 volts to various parts of their charging ports and adds enough for your individual device to charge it. The charging ports have a few different contacts inside and depending on the tip used supplies power to your device according to how much the device needs. Each tip is exclusive to that product and has the proper adapter to plug in your device as well as supplying the appropriate amount of voltage to charge it.
The Gomadic station has four universal charging plugs on it and room for four devices depending on what they are, I had no problem charging my PSP and Nintendo DS at the same time. Add on a Sansa View and the station gets a little crowded but to have a few cell phones on there at the same time is no big deal as these will probably be a constant visitor to the station.
The Gomadic Station is 14 by 6 inches and is about 3 inches tall with an area of 14 by 5 inches for your devices to sit in that is foam padded for scratch resistance. The station is a nice handy place to have for charging all your devices to keep charging cord and adapter clutter to a minimum as well as being able to find them when you need them.
Having one place for charging all your various devices just makes sense so you know where to look and having it in one easy to use solution makes even more sense. The Gomadic QuadCharge is a really convenient solution for all the various chargers and adapters that you would have otherwise.
I have plenty of gadgets each with a different adapter such as a Sansa View and Fuze, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable but with the QuadCharge Station I cut it down to one. All these devices take different adapters and the QuadCharge Station has all the tips for my gadgets but not for my phones as they are Tracfones and not main stream cell phones.
I have searched through and found many cell phones as well as other devices that have tips for sale with the same price of $4.95 per tip. This makes purchasing tips an additional cost to the base price you have for the QuadCharge but the convenience and handy features of having all these devices charged from the same station make up for this price.
The Gomadic QuadCharge Station costs $49.95 for the base unit and tips will cost basically five dollars each but this simple device is so well worth the cost. Having all your devices charged from the same adapter unit means so much less clutter and saves you money; each adapter you have plugged in is using electricity whether you’re charging something or not.
Having only one charger means you know where all your devices are being charged at and you have one convenient place to put them while they are being charged. I really recommend the Gomadic QuadCharge Universal Charging Station if you have several devices that you constantly charge.
