Digital Stream DTX9900

Digital Stream is one of the smaller companies to release a digital to analog converter to a main stream store, Radio Shack. The Digital Stream DTX9900 converts the digital signals we receive from the broadcast stations and changes the resulting signals to ones our analog televisions can display.

The converter is very simple to connect and use, simply plug in your antenna to the antenna in connection and the other side goes out to your televisions antenna in. Turn on the unit either by the power button on the top or the using the remote.

Once the converter is set up you simply search for channels on the setup menu and once found you can watch digital TV on your analog television set. The converter has some great features like video and audio output and conversion for connecting your television using the antenna coaxial connection or the RCA connectors. You have a simple on set guide for great television program selection and choice as well as full parental control and locking abilities.

You can even connect your television using the RCA connections on the back with an audio/video cable instead of the coax antenna cable for either a slightly better video quality or if your television does not have an available coax connection. The addition of the RCA connections also means you can watch analog and digital TV by connecting the Digital Stream RCA connections to your television. The Digital Stream will give you DTV on channel 3 or 4 and use the antenna coax of your TV for watching the analog signals until they fade away next year.

The Digital Stream DTX9900 works well for all the settings and features and is simple to use on a day to day basis for general television viewing. I get all the channels I can get for my area that my HDTV does get and they all come in clear and well just like my downstairs high definition television.
