Avia II Guide to Home Theatre DVD

The DVD does a great job of explaining the various terms and technology in a home theatre system as well as having a glossary on the DVD for use on a computer. Chapters will start you out with the different components and what they do and then completing the whole system with test and calibration. The tests and calibration make sure you connected everything up correctly as well as calibrate the various components to ensure optimum home theatre enjoyment.

Connecting your System

From the simple things like the correct brightness and contrast of your television screen to the audio levels on your speakers the DVD goes from one to the next and works on every aspect individually for the best entertainment possible from your system. Properly getting all these things in the correct balance means your home theatre system will work for the best possible enjoyment you can get from your system.

The DVD does not go exactly step by step in exactly what wires or cables to connect to what but it does explain what everything is and how it all works together. Between this and the manuals you receive with your components you should be able to connect everything together and get the entire entertainment system working well together.

This is the only problem I see with the DVD but you could not possibly create a guide with every possible component and scenario for a complete guide about what cables and wires go where on any system. The DVD does a great job of explaining what should go to what and how they all interact and with the manuals your components will come with you should be able to figure out what you need to connect.

Not only should you know what all the various components are after watching the DVD you will be able to calibrate and check out all the various features of your television. Getting the various colors and levels calibrated will mean you can enjoy the movies and other content on your home theatre in the best possible way. The package even includes some filters you hold up when viewing color test patterns to ensure the colors are set just right for your particular home environment and conditions.
