Moen Inspire

On to my next purchase, again at Wal-Mart for a little more protected model that would not fall to pieces the first time I dropped it. Or other members of my clumsy family, just kidding dear ones. I bought one that has this rubber coating and costs about ten dollars more only to find problems that needed correcting upon installation.

The first problem I fixed after installing the showerhead and turning on the water, that stupid energy saving feature of allowing a trickle of water through the showerhead. I drilled out the adapter that fits onto the pipe and holds the showerhead because the hole was smaller than, well, you get the idea. The washer in the showerhead fitting was also discarded and free flowing water in my newest shower was now a fact.

The rubber coated head of the shower was needed off the bat and some more work on the showerhead became evident when the holder for the showerhead did not snuggly hold the showerhead. A bump would knock the showerhead to the floor and this had to be fixed so I went to the basement and grabbed the rotary tool for some sanding.

After sanding out the plastic in the hole for holding the showerhead I was able to get a nice secure hold on the showerhead once I sanded the hole out some. This is a lot of work for a thirty or forty dollar showerhead just to enjoy my shower. Well along came my start in reviewing and freelance writing and with more work came the household tools and kitchen products and now I am on to reviewing Moen faucets and other products.

I asked for the Moen Inspire Handheld Showerhead and the product is great, but it does cost a bit more than those other models I purchased. The Inspire may cost around $90 but it is well worth the cost for an excellent quality showerhead that comes complete with a holder that securely holds the showerhead and even the little white tape for installation.

The Moen Inspire has plenty of handy features like the spiral pattern of the easy to clean nubbins and the full spray without any of those energy saving washers. After all if I wanted to save water I would just take a quicker shower not use less during my whole shower.
