For coastal areas this will be nice to tell when the tides are at their best for fishing as you can have the best fishing times at certain tide levels. The Pro Fishing Watch shows a tidal graph to show you when the tide will peek or subside during the current 12 hour period.
You can move forward or reverse on the graph to find out what the tide will do in the future or in the past and find out tidal information. The watch does a great job of helping you figure out what the optimum fishing times will be according to tides. This watch would be great for boaters as well to help them predict the best times to launch their boat and help through areas or channels that are dependent on tides and depth.
The watch shows the best fishing times by a graph with fish, four fish means better fishing time while less fish is a better time to clean those caught earlier. He simple fish graph is an easy to tell way to show the best times for fishing according to the moons phases and whether the moon is rising or falling.
The Pro Fishing Watch does the regular time and day, month and year settings as well and has five alarms for a wide variety of alarm settings. You can set the watch to go off for a certain time of the day, the same time every day, an alarm on a specific day of the month, an alarm at a specific time on the same day of each month and an hourly chime.
There is also a fishing alarm that rings four times a day for the best fishing times during that day according to the lunar times and rising and setting of the moon. The alarm is a beep that is loud enough to hear even over a television or radio as well a silent vibration. The vibration alerts you to the alarm but without any noise just like a vibration on a cell phone but without any noise.
The tides function and lunar phases is helpful for fishing and to help to help you find the best fishing times. The watch also has the handy timer feature as well as a countdown then up as well as a repeat countdown timer. The watch is pretty easy to set for the time and latitude and longitude just like most nay watch these days.
The buttons on the watch are fairly easy to push as they are rubber coated and under the watches main rubber body but it does take some finger pressure to get them in far enough. The watch is very good at resisting water from going inside having a rubber seal around the back as well as the body of the watch being rubber.
I did several loads of dish washing while wearing the watch and found no water inside after several times of dunking my arm in the water while wearing the watch. The watch may not be water resistant for diving but usual water dunking that would be the same as fishing did not get into the watches inner workings.
The Field & Stream Pro Fishing Watch is a nice watch for both fishermen and boaters to help them find out tidal patterns and the best times of fishing by the lunar phases. The watch is a good one and comfortable to wear as well as having plenty of features for sportsmen.
For a good watch at around $60 with plenty of features for the fisherman I recommend the Field & Stream Pro Fishing Watch.
