Enough with the complaints and now to the great parts, the speakers sound fantastic; good deep base, rich high’s and no problem what so ever with high volume and distortion. The system performs flawlessly for music, gaming and any kind of sound like movies.

The system works very well as a regular 2.1 channel sound system for a computer or as a console gaming sound system. I also used the Mako system for listening to movies and regular television on my home entertainment shelf and hooked up with my HDTV. The Mako system performed very well and I would say flawlessly at everything I threw at it and I have absolutely no complaints about the sound quality.

There are two line in hookups using the 3.5mm connections, one on the subwoofer with the other connections and one on the control pod, there is also an earphone connection on the control pod as well. The control pod works by touch and there are no actual push or slide buttons on it, this makes for a bit of an imprecise control when using it. There is a bit of a pause before the control pod responds to your touch and getting the exact volume or bass level you want can take a try or two.

There is another set of RCA audio inputs on the subwoofer along with the two speaker Cat 5 connections and the power and control pod connections. The connections and an on off switch works well and all the cabling goes toward the back of the unit when you set it up. With the two inputs on the body of the subwoofer you have the two line selections available from the control pod that you push to choose which input you are using.

If you connect something to the line in on the control pod the system will automatically use that for its input only. The control pod glows blue when it has an input and you touch the buttons to turn it on. The speakers and the large subwoofer are a flat black with the Razer logo in gloss black on all three.

The whole system is rather large and for anyone interested in some great sound at the cost of some desk space this system is a fantastic speaker system. The deep rich bass and even high light sounds are very good and there is no problem with any sounds I heard on the system. With every other speaker system I have owned or reviewed there was some level of sound like high volume or some type of music or particular sounds that just did not meet the exacting standards I require of a perfect sound system.

The Mako 2.1 system is fantastic and sounds great for all the music and sounds I could use with it and sounded perfect to me. The cost of the system is about $400 and this would be another contention with purchasing it, if you want perfect or near perfect sound for your computer, console system or even television the Mako is a sure bet.

The only problems I could find with the Mako system are the size and weight and how much room it does take on your desk if you use it on one. The cabling is not a real problem as they will straighten out over time. The sound on the Mako system is fantastic and the best quality I have heard yet in my reviewing.

For some fantastic 2.1 channel sound the Razer Mako system is a fantastic sound system, I highly recommend the Mako system for a great audio experience.
