EnzoTech NB Cooler

The EnzoTech SLF-1 Low Profile Northbridge cooler is a fantastic cooler for your computers motherboard in situations where height is a concern. The SLF-1 cooler is 37mm x 37mm and only 13.5mm tall with the fan adding an extra 6 mm to the height for a total height with the fan at less than 20mm. The cooler is made of pure copper for excellent heat transfer and I really do mean excellent.

Installation is a breeze once you get at the push pin locations for your current motherboard and the SLF-1 even multiple holes for universal mounting on many motherboards. I was doing some major rework inside my computer and received the EnzoTech SLF-1 so decided to install that as soon as I received it. On the Ultra PC Case I have there is a sheet metal plate behind the entire motherboard except for a large hole so I just cut some notches to allow access to the push pins for the north bridge.

The EnzoTech SLF-1 comes with the heat sink and fan, two push pins, a foam square with adhesive on one side and the thermal compound for installation. Installing it is simply a matter of removing the old cooler and cleaning up the old thermal compound as you are sure to want new compound on your new heat sink assembly.

Place the adhesive side of the foam pad on the outside edge of the heat sink and place the heat sink on the north bridge cooler while pushing the pins through the mount holes of the heat sink and into the motherboard till they latch. Once that is done simply connect the power connector from the fan to your motherboard or power supply and your ready to go.

The cooler is easy to install but you may have to remove your motherboard depending on your system and setup. If you do be careful to get everything back in correctly and double check as I always do before turning on power that everything is connected correctly and you have not left anything like tools or screws behind. This is a good upgrade to perform when you’re doing a really good thorough cleaning of your computer or upgrading other components.
