Clear One Chat 50

The Chat 50 by itself as a regular speaker phone works well for my home phone but works better connected to a PC and working through it. The PC regulates the echo cancellation and how the device works so having it connected to a PC is nice but may not be needed. Using this over a PC is really great for gaming and VOIP, Skype and even TeamSpeak or regular voice chatting while gaming.
The Chat 50 is 3 and 3/4 inches wide, 4 inches long and a little over an inch tall with all the cords going in and out the back. There is a microphone mute button as well as two volume buttons on the top side for easy control of your communications. The little microphone is right below the speaker and works very well even at arm’s length from the speaker.
I could have the Chat 50 sitting up by my monitor a couple feet from me while gaming or talking on the phone and be heard just fine. No more are the days of having to pass the speaker phone around the table while trying that smaller conference call or having to lean in to talk to someone while trying to game. That is one thing that surprised me about this little gem the voice chat while gaming is fantastic.
I had no problem setting up the speaker in my control panel as my main speaker/microphone set and then joining a game of Battlefield 2142 with chat. Other guys heard me just fine and I had no complaints from them while gaming, I even asked. You can hear the noise and sounds coming from the little speaker but that is a single speaker with single channel but you can also connect a headset to the in and out jack to get the great sounds from your favorite stereo headphones.
