I saw a couple of degrees of cooling from using the stand without the fans and a four to five degree cooling with the fans on while under stress using Prime95 and Speedfan to monitor temperatures. This was performed on an HP dv9500Z 17” widescreen laptop computer that fit very well onto the Attaché Laptop Stand. The folding laptop stand works well with other sizes of laptops from the larger 17” widescreen to the smaller 15”.
The Attaché is 12 7/8 inches wide by 11 ¾ inches long and 1 5/8 inches tall when folded while the stand can hold a widescreen notebook so the top is over 18 inches from the desk surface. The stand does a great job of supporting the laptop steadily while you work for a great and cool way to get your laptop screen up to eye level.
The Attaché may sound like it costs a lot at $69.95 directly from LapWorks but I checked out other laptop stands that also include a fan and hold your laptop up so you can use it as a regular desktop and this came in at the lower end of the cost spectrum. Other stands included ones with fans and USB hubs but most were more expensive and one that was less expensive did not have a fan or USB hub.
The Attaché is a great looking and good performing cooling device for holding your laptop while at a desk or table for desktop use of your laptop. The included fan and USB hub adds a great amount of flexibility to your laptop stand and the ability to adjust the stand for your particular height requirements make the Attaché a great purchase.
I highly recommend the Attaché Laptop Stand for a great laptop device for cooling and holding your laptop with the added feature of the USB hub.
