The Vizo Mini Ninja Notebook Cooler is a well designed and light weight notebook cooler perfect for portable solutions to keep your notebook computer running cool. The Mini Ninja is a great aluminum notebook cooler with two adjustable fans on the underside that run from your regular USB connection.
The Mini Ninja is for notebooks from 7 inches up to 15.4 inch according to the Vizo website but it works equally well on my new Hewlett Packard 17 inch widescreen notebook. I saw really good results from temperature testing with the Mini Ninja but it takes a little tweaking or adjusting to get good results.
I also received a couple of new Vizo case fans that have magnetic bearings that create a super quiet case fan with very smooth operation. These case fans make an excellent addition to any PC case for even quieter operation as well as the long life benefits of a non contact bearing.
The Vizo Mini Ninja Notebook Cooler is 13 and 3/4 inches wide and six and a half inches tall with a height of one and 5/8ths of an inch. The notebook cooler has two 70 MM fans on the underside of the cooler that blows air up toward the bottom of your notebook computer. The fans of the Mini Ninja cooler run from your USB connection but you don’t lose one of your USB ports with the USB cable being the adapter kind that you can connect another USB to.
The fans are somewhat quiet as fans go with a reading of about 67-68 dBc on a Scosche sound level meter but the laptop was definitely louder than these fans. I tested the fans themselves and then the fans while the laptop was running on the cooler and could not hear the fans over the notebook.
The cooler works very well cooling a notebook computer by blowing air against the bottom but an added benefit of this cooler is you can move the fans from side to side. This allows you to position the fans exactly where you need them for your notebook. I really like this feature and think it is the best solution for the wide range of available notebooks and keeping each different make and model of portable computer it’s coolest.
