Razer Piranha

The Piranha is an excellent sounding headset and lives up to the Razer name but as I said the fit is a bit different from other headsets I have used. The band between the ear pieces is wide and fits on my head snuggly and a bit too tight for my liking. I had no problem listening to music and gaming with the headset and it did not get overly tiresome wearing them but it just fits a bit tight. I have seen other reviewers mention this also but it really does not detract from the quality of the Piranha all that much.
The Razer Piranha is a great sounding gaming communication set and does a great job for listening as well as speech. I not only did some gaming but recorded my voice and some music from another computer using the microphone and the set does a really good job of reproducing the sound well.
I used the trial version of SoundCheck from PassMark Software to record the music and my voice and it did an excellent job of recording what the microphone of the Piranha caught. The microphone has really good noise filtering and sounded great even when recorded.
Overall the Razer Piranha is a great sounding headset and works very well for listening to music movies and computer communication. The earpieces with their wide frequency range and 32 ohms impedance do an excellent job with clear tones and good bass.
The Razer Piranha works very well and is a great headset for gaming, computer use and a variety of other listening pleasures. For a good quality but a bit expensive gaming headset I recommend the Razer Piranha Gaming Communicator, okay gaming headset.
