AMD now has a new graphics technology in the Catalyst drivers that enables Crossfire without a bridge interconnect. The Crossfire worked fine on my computers and really did improve the gaming quality and frame rates. The games I played on both Crossfire and with one card worked fine for the lower graphics

I tried playing some games like Frontlines: Fuel of War and found that with even the lowest graphics and video settings the games were just not enjoyable the way a good graphics card would. I also played some other games like Counter Strike and Attack on Pearl Harbor at low settings and found the games playable and enjoyable even though they were at low settings.

The games had decent frame rates but are pretty simple games with some lower system demands. If you are looking for a graphics card for running an occasional game at lower settings or ones that are less demanding along with a graphics card that can handle the high definition video and blu ray video the HD 3450 may be for you.

I had no problem playing the games at low settings but the videos and movies all looked fine that I played on several different systems with a variety of movie players. I tried out some regular definition players and movies and found great looking video on the other computers.

The PowerColor HD 3450 has a silent cooling system 256MB 64 bit DDR2 memory with a core clock of 600 Mhz that runs very well as a silent graphics card. The HD 3450 supports HDMI through a DVI to HDMI adapter that does not come with the card; the card only comes with an S-Video to RCA video adapter and the CD with drivers as well as a quick install guide.

The HDMI works well for video and audio for use on an HDTV and has great picture for video and good sounding audio. The adapter I used came with another video card and worked very well with the PowerColor HD 3450. Video as well as audio on the Westinghouse HDTV I have looked very good and everything with the PowerColor HD 3450 was great as an HTPC graphics card.

The PowerColor HD 3450 graphics card makes a great home theater graphics card as well as an inexpensive card for computers that do not require the high end graphics of today’s modern games. The HD 3450 worked fine on some games that did not require high graphics solutions and worked well with some older games like Attack on Pearl Harbor and Counter Strike.

I highly recommend the PowerColor HD 3450 Graphics Card for a great HTPC computer system.
