This few degrees of difference made from just getting the notebook off the desk and onto the cooler is common to most notebook coolers. I saw another two degrees lower temperatures when I turned the fans on full blast blowing air out and down from the notebook’s bottom. The positioning of the notebook had little difference on the cooler as most of the vents are right where they need to be under the hard drive and CPU area of my notebook.
The NZXT Cryo LX looks like a mean cooler for notebooks and will fit all sizes even the big 19” widescreens. I am not sure how larger widescreens will fair on it but as long as the feet of the widescreen notebook is not wider than the 16.6 inches width of the cooler they should be just fine. Another bit of a problem here is the cost of this heavy duty cooler at about $70 according to other reviewers; I couldn’t find where to purchase it though.
The NZXT Cryo LX Notebook Cooler is a nice heavy duty notebook cooler that will definitely last a long time due to the durable aluminum design. I recommend the NZXT Cryo LX as a good large notebook cooler, if you can find one.
