Saitek Cyborg 5.1 Headset

The inline controller has both volume controls for the 5.1 and 2.1 stereo as well as a mute for the microphone and a selector for the 2.1 or 5.1 stereo. The controller works very well and the only problem I had when using the 5.1 stereo in regards with the controller is finding it quickly enough to turn the volume down. The headphones do not loose volume but actually perform very well but first installing and using the headset found me at full volume after installing the drivers. I found that I had to adjust my sound control down on my system and the headset for a nice listening volume.
The Cyborg 5.1 works extremely well right out of the box on my Windows Vista system and I tried it out on three separate computers without loading drivers. The systems all recognized it and worked it well into the digital audio that is the current trend of audio in Windows. The bass and high tones are the perfect mix and there really is a true surround sound with the three speakers or drivers in each ear piece.
Music sounds great and watching a movie is really good but in games is where the Cyborg Headset really shows its stuff. The surround works perfectly, your able to hear sounds all around you just like you should in true surround sound. The microphone works great as well and is the perfect companion to the gaming quality headset.
Too often in headsets the microphone does not get the attention that it deserves and you get poor quality speech while the earphones work well. The Cyborg works well and both the microphone and the ear pieces have been perfectly designed for the perfect headset for music, gaming or teleconferencing. These are by far the best audio speaker systems I have and are the best ones in sound I have reviewed to date.
Other headsets have some nice features or one feature will often pull down the overall rating but I could not find much with the Cyborg Headset that was not top of the line. The set is very comfortable and does not sit on my ears but rather my ears fit inside the cups of the ear pieces. The headset sits nicely with the right amount of pressure on my head for a nice comfortable fit.
The Saitek Cyborg 5.1 Headset is great for 2.1 stereo as well but it is not really all that fantastic, after all you’re kind of going backward in technology for that. The two stereo and microphone connectors that are also on the USB cable are convenient to have all on the same cable for easily connecting the Cyborg to your 2.1 stereo connections like your MP3 or portable DVD player.
This makes a great all around headset for gaming, music and movies being able to connect to both USB and stereo jacks for a fully featured headset. The Cyborg is truly your all in one headset for both the 2.1 stereo and 5.1 full surround sound.
I highly recommend the Saitek Cyborg 5.1 Headset for the great sounding quality and all in one 2.1 and 5.1 stereo headset.
