Brother Network Label Printer

The P-Touch software is the preferred way to print on the QL-1060N printer, but you can print directly from programs like Photoshop CS3 and Word just as easily. I tried several other programs including Microsoft Publisher, Outlook, Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Elements without any problems.
You simply need to find a template to size the project to the paper you have and create your label or printing and then make sure your printer settings coincide with the printer. I also had no problems using the P-Touch Editor and Address software to print labels for several sizes and even round labels.
The Brother Label Printer works very well for several different kinds of labels, nametags, good quality id cards and even hello tags and other round labels. There is a good variety of labels available so you have a good selection to choose from in round, rectangular and continuous paper.
Using the continuous paper you can print banners or very thin labels for things like the sides of DVD cases or game cases for all your labeling needs. For this type of labeling all you have to do is print titles or words out in lines and skip a line between each title then cut them by hand.
The Brother Label Printer QL-1060N is a great label printer for all kinds of label printing through the Brother software as well as other programs. You can print nice mailing labels including barcodes so you get your packages and mail through the postal system or shipping company quicker and with more accuracy.
The thermal printer does a great job of quickly printing labels and pictures in black and white that are completely waterproof, I ran the faucet over a picture minutes after printing without any streaking. The labels are tough and great for shipping and printing using the Address program which is easy with several different label format setups premade on the P-Touch Address program.

The Brother Network Ready Printer connects to a single computer using either a USB cable or a network CAT5e cable and is available over a network through that computer or as a network printer. During setup you can choose to install the printer as a network device and available from any computer on the network or on a single computer.
I had no problems using the printer both on a single computer and using a network through that computer and as a network printer on its own. The printer handled networking fine and without any problems other than a small lag that I did not have from being directly connected to a computer like when I first printed with it.
The Brother Label Printer Model QL-1060N is a great printer and I had no problems with it at all having great quality for both words and pictures. I found the picture quality was pretty good for photo images like for name tags and id’s but sometimes it would have streaks running across the paper in the direction of the print head.
These streaks are no big deal and I am sure they are from taking a higher quality image and bringing it down to the resolution of the printer. There are no streaks when printing words or address labels, only when using higher quality images or photos so it is due to those higher resolution images.
I did print several pictures after playing with resolutions and image quality and found if you lower image quality in a program before printing it helps to reduce or completely get rid of the streaking. When printing pictures for ID tags if you keep the image size small at the start and do not try to use high quality images you will have no problems getting good results.
The Brother Network Label Printer works equally well on a network or from a single computer and is very handy for using in a field situation like in a store or at a business for a portable printer that would not run out of ink. You only need the labels for the printer to ensure continuous printing and they are readily available from office supply stores.

I highly recommend the Brother Network Ready Label Printer Model QL-1060N for a fantastic label printer that uses thermal printing for great waterproof quality labels.
