The power supply is as easy to install as any partly modular supply and having the choice of using only the cables you need makes for a nice and neat setup inside your system. The power supply tested just fine both by itself using the Apevia Digital Power Supply Tester as well as with a digital multimeter when installed in my system.
The three separate rails of 12 volt mean there is plenty of separate power for the main motherboard as well as other components so they do not interfere or interact with each other. This separation of rails means a better running system for your computer with plenty of power. The power supply has plenty of nice heavy heat sinks inside as well as good sized power capacitors for better handling of the current.
The Antec NeoPower also does a great job of running quiet with the most noise in my system now coming from the case fans but these are still quiet. My air purifier in my office is now the noisiest thing and my two computers with all their quiet running fans and components just keep getting quieter.
The Antec NeoPower 650 Blue does a great job of supplying quiet power that it would make a great HTPC or home theatre personal computer used specifically for home entertainment centers. This quiet operation was tested using the C weighted scale and a Scosche noise level meter while testing the fan in a very quiet room with less than 45 dBc of noise. This is very quiet as many of the case fans I tested are also about this same noise level and when installed and having the rear of your computer facing away makes for a very quiet PC.
Using this in an HTPC would make for a great system and the use of modular cables makes for a nice neat interior as well as quiet. The Antec power supply works well under load during my testing using both the Crossfire setup with the two HD 3450 graphics cards as well as the current Zotac 8800 GT card. The two HD3450 cards are not that demanding but the system works well with the more power hungry 8800 GT and HD 3870 cards I was also testing with this system and the Antec NeoPower.
Overall the Antec NeoPower 650 Blue is a great 650 watt power supply with a good assortment of modular cables as well as a few of the main cables permanent. I really enjoy the stylish and modular design of the Antec NeoPower 650 Blue.
